My soon to be husband moved to San Leandro in 1981. We rented an apartment in 1982, brought a house in the Pond area in 1987, and moved to Bay-O-Vista in 1994 when we needed more room for our son and growing business. Bay-O-Vista is a lovely, diverse neighborhood. I would often call my neighbor to look at the amazing sunsets. I love all the BOVIA events, especially the garden tours and potlucks. I also enjoy the birds and wildlife in our area. It is truly a special community.

1. I have enjoyed being a volunteer in the schools and with many community organizations throughout the years, working with some amazing people.
2. I love the diversity of San Leandro and Bay-O-Vista.
3. I love that San Leandro is centrally located and is easy to get to San Francisco and other parts of the Bay Area.
