Book Club
One of our more popular clubs. Our Book Club has a wonderful group of people with different perspectives and insights. We read wonderful books and have great discussions which are diverse and interesting. Even if you haven’t read the book, you are welcome to join us! We meet every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the length of the book, on Zoom on a Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
If you would like to join us, want further information or obtain the Zoom link, please email Kat Wellman at katwellman54@gmail.com.
Last year we started a BOVIA Book Club. Only one member had ever been part of a book club before. We read wonderful books, have great discussions and enjoy our different perspectives. We meet every 4 to 6 weeks depending on the length of the book. So far, all our meetings have been on Zoom, but it has worked out very well. We meet on a Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
NEXT MEETING:
Tuesday, May 3rd @ 6:00 p.m.
BOOK:
Braiding Sweetgrass - by Robin Wall Kimmerer
DESCRIPTION:
This is a non-fiction book by a Native American botanist. It is a fascinating perspective on nature and our role in sustaining and being part of it as explained through both science and Native American culture.
Although we don’t usually select ahead, we did this time and our next book will be A Gentleman In Moscow by Amor Towles. We finished reading The Lincoln Highway by the same author and liked it so much, we wanted to read this book as well.
If you would like to join us, please email Kat Wellman at katwellman54@gmail.com.
