BOVIA BOOK CLUB:  TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 17TH @ 6:00 p.m. (via zoom – link will be emailed to interested parties). The book we are reading is Tracks:  A Woman’s Solo Trek Across 1700 Miles of Australian Outback by Robyn Davidson.  This is the account of Robyn Davidson’s perilous journey across 1,700 miles of hostile Australian desert to the sea with only four camels and a dog for company.  Enduring sweltering heat, fending off poisonous snakes and lecherous men, chasing her camels when they get skittish and nursing them when they are injured, Davidson emerges as an extraordinarily courageous heroine driven by a love of Australia’s landscape, an empathy for its indigenous people, and a willingness to cast away the trappings of her former identity.  Tracks is the compelling, candid story of her odyssey of discovery and transformation. GARDEN CLUB MEETING: THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19th @ 6:00 p.m. (via zoom – link will be emailed to interested parties). These are monthly meetings to discuss gardening issues, tips and challenges. We also plan Garden Tours in Bay-O-Vista. It is a wonderful way to meet people in our community who have a wealth of knowledge and love to garden. FIRST DRIVEWAY SOCIAL OF THE YEAR:  SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 28TH @ 10:00 a.m. – NOON at the Lakeview Court cul de sac.  Coffee and doughnuts will be served.  Come join your friends and meet new neighbors.  Bring a chair if you would like to sit.  There will be a prize for the person who brings the most new members with them.  So invite your neighbors and Bay-O-Vista friends.  We need our community to be connected.  Note that the event will be cancelled if it is raining.
