BOVIA provides scholarships for graduating high school seniors of BOVIA members who intend to continue their education (academic or trade school). The only requirement is that the student graduate from high school, intend to further their education, and that the student’s family is currently a member and has been a BOVIA member for two previous years.
Last year, we had no applications for the scholarship which was surprising since we saw several placards and signs in front yards in our neighborhood congratulating their graduating seniors. So make sure you join BOVIA so that your child will be eligible to receive a BOVIA scholarship when they become a graduating senior.
If you would like more information about the BOVIA Scholarship, please email BOVIA Vice President Linda Dana at [email protected].
Donations are welcome: Last year, we received two very generous donations from BOVIA members Makinya & Gene Ward and Dr. Steven & Phyllis Gee which were very much appreciated. BOVIA is a 501C non-profit organization, so donations to our scholarship fund are considered a charitable deductions for tax purposes. Please email BOVIA Treasurer Andrew McClelland at [email protected] if you would like to contribute to the BOVIA Scholarship Fund.
